One night in Jo-burg

One night in Johannesburg (Jo-burg), South Africa

We had a fabulous 2.5 week adventure throughout South Africa and in Mozambique, and were fortunate enough to have one night in Johannesburg before we flew home.

We had read, and it was reaffirmed by the hotel that Johannesburg isn’t safe, especially after dark. Since we only had one night we really didn’t venture too far, but wanted to highlight a few things we did.

We flew into the airport and took a uber to our hotel which was located in Sandton at Nelson Mandela square. We stayed at the DiVinci Hotel.

The only thing we did was wander through the mall (attached to the hotel), and eat at The Big Mouth Café overlooking Mandela Square.
